Andreas A. Zingerle
Andreas Zingerle was born 1980 in Innsbruck, Austria and currently lives in Graz, Austria and Rotterdam, Netherlands. 2002 he started working in the field of photography and media technology. He is a graduate of the New Design University, St. Pölten/Austria (class Barry Hewson, Jörg Summer) and holds a master degree from the University of Art and Industrial Design, Linz/Austria (class Christa Sommerer, Laurent Mignonneau, department "Interface Cultures"). In 2007, he participated in the International Summeracademy in Hallein/Austria (class Christian Tomaszewski). In spring 2008, he did an exchange semester at the Media Lab, TAIK - Taideteollinen korkeakoulu (University of Art and Design), Helsinki/Finland. In the past years he produced Interactive Installations called "Der Überflieger - Wearable Interfaces for spy pigeons", "Solargrafica*", "RecipeTable", "Atemraum" or the dance/music videogame called "Headbang Hero". Furthermore he created Experimental Films and Video Installations named "Solargrafica*Graz", "Wild West Reloaded", "Solargrafica* 100107-120407" or "Extension of Human Sight". Since 2004, his work has been shown in Europe, America, Asia and Australia at exhibitions and venues such as FILE (Rio de Janeiro, Sao Paulo/Brazil), Siggraph (L.A., CA/USA), Ars Electronica (Linz/Aut.), Japan Media Arts Festival (Tokyo/Jp.), Subtle Technologies (Toronto/Can.), Simultan (Timisoara/Ro.), Digitalfringe (Melbourne/Aus.), MoCA (Boston, Mass/USA), MQ (Vienna/Aut.), (...).
